Vermont Consultant's Network has been serving the Vermont business, non-profit and government communities since 1990. We provide a monthly forum for practicing consultants, and network and referral opportunities for consulting clients.
Often the most important part of consulting work is the initial meeting with the client; the consultant and the client evaluate each other and decide whether there is a “fit”. Both parties have a lot at stake at this meeting, so it is important for the consultant not only to sell him/herself, but also to clearly understand the client’s needs. There are many opportunities for both sides to make some big mistakes, and the objective of this presentation is to provide some guidance as to how to prevent them.
Steve Silverman is founder of Bartlett Bay Consulting, LLC located in So. Burlington, a cleanroom and minienvironments consulting firm. Steve is a physicist who has authored over 15 papers, holds a patent in this field, and has an extensive background in the industry.
Steve is currently Vice-President of the VCN and has been a member of the board since June of 2004.
